These videos were created for my JL MC 307 Film Production class that I took during my time at Iowa State. The main goal of this class was to learn the fundamental aspects of film; basic shots and camera techniques as well as begining to learn how to edit. This is the class where I realized my passion with a camera went far beyond that of still photographs.
I am someone who pays very close attention to detail, and this class allowed me to truly hone in on that aspect of my personality that many find annoying, and teach me how to truly utilize it. I love the close up, detailed shots and the titilating authenticity of natural sound. I learned how much I appreciated accurate continuity and clean, aesthetically timed editing. This class also provided me an envoirnment to experiment with more individual aspects of content creating, such as expressing my personality and sense of humor, so please pardon any aspect of informality you may find within these videos, and please feel free to laugh. I know I did.

"How to make tacos" - a partner project. This was another one of our class's required "How To" videos. Filming was a joint effort between my partner and I, and I was responsible for the entirety of editing.

"How to make egg muffins" - A solo project. In this class we were required to make multiple how to videos to teach us the importnce of preperation and plannig when it comes to filming, as well as the importance of continuity.

"The proccess of art" - A solo project. This was a video where I had complete control. I used this video as an opportunity to work on my skills in editing and creative camera angles. I worked tirelessly make sure the classical music in the second half of the video matched well enough with the shots of the paint brushes stroking the canvas in hope to lead to a satisfying climax.

"A day in the life" - A solo project. Another one of our class's required videos. It is used to teach us the importance of being prepared to capture any moment, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
