In 2019 I had the privilege of being an intern at Hot Press music magazine in Dublin, Ireland. There I worked as both a writer and a photographer, which tested and expanded my skills of understanding and capturing music beyond its original audible plane. This tried my talent when it came to both writing and photography, and gave me an unthinkable amount of experience that will benefit me for the rest of my professional career.
As a photographer at Hot Press, I took many kinds of photos, the main two kinds being envoirnment photos and concert photos. I had multiple opportunities to photograph live musical artists of all levels of fame at concerts and music festivals.
As a writer, I published multiple album reviews and announcements, as well as tour and event announcements for musical artists. My main two writitng pieces, however, were long opinion pieces, titled "Why I, An American, Will Not Be Celebrating The 4th of July" and "Let's Talk Representation".
All electronically published work from Hot Press can be found by clicking the link "Electronically published works for Hot Press magazine" at the bottom of the menu bar. Below is a selection of my best photos taken for Hot Press.
